What is Board Certification?

A podiatric surgeon certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Medicine has successfully completed an extensive credentialing and examination process and has demonstrated knowledge of podiatric surgery, including the diagnosis of general medical problems and surgical management of foot diseases, deformitities and trauma of the foot and ankle and related structures. A written exam must be taken every 10 years to assess each foot doctor’s level of knowledge.
